Strenesse Velvet (Althair in Female) beautiful
I sprayed Velvet for the first time on my wrist at DM and immediately thought, somehow you seem familiar. The next day, I sprayed the fragrance on my neck and décolletage because I wanted to test it thoroughly before purchasing. What can I say, the longevity is unfortunately still quite poor; it feels like the scent is gone after two hours, and even my partner didn’t notice it anymore, even though he was standing very close to me. The closer he got to me (it smells so good on my neck), he also mentioned that Velvet seems familiar to him. By now, we both know what it reminds us of, and it is Althair by Parfums de Marly, just much more gentle, softer, and much more feminine. I believe that with "Althair | Parfums de Marly," the bergamot comes through too strongly for me, even though it is listed in the top notes and shouldn’t be so prominent, or should be more subtle. Althair is a beautiful fragrance, but in my opinion, it develops too masculine on my skin, even though I find it really lovely. (On my boyfriend, it is truly stunning.) I will still get Velvet because I simply find the scent beautiful, and I always wanted Althair to smell like this on me.
Would I recommend Velvet? Yes, but only for the scent; the longevity and sillage are unfortunately subpar, so please test it beforehand. If anyone here on Parfumo discovers a fragrance like "Velvet | Strenesse / Gabriele Strehle" but with better longevity/sillage, please let me know; I would be very happy about that. Aside from the longevity/sillage, I really think it’s great to have such a wonderfully beautiful fragrance, almost a niche scent, available at the drugstore. Really TOP!

Tres Chique with Strenesse
First of all, I really like the fashion from Strenesse.
It is easy to wear without being overdone.
I love my parka from this label because it is sporty yet elegant.
So I was pleased to discover a fragrance by Gabriele Strehle at Rossi for a fair price.
Velvet lives up to its name, as it is soft and cuddly like velvet.
Cocoa and sandalwood go creamy hand in hand, topped with sweet vanilla and calming lavender.
A hint of coconut peeks through, giving Velvet a touch of exoticism.
It leans slightly towards the gourmand direction but remains ethereal.
Well done, Gabriele!

Wonderful scent, but unfortunately not long-lasting
I was finally able to test the scent today in a drugstore. I wanted to take it home right away since I liked it at first sniff, but I’m glad I didn’t. Why? I’m happy to explain:
The scent opened up for me with a pleasant note that unfolds comfortably and harmoniously. It’s an experience that envelops me without overwhelming - charming, subtle, and unobtrusive. A pleasant companion for everyday life, characterized by its restraint.

However appealing the first impression may be, the joy unfortunately lasts only a short time. After about two hours, the scent seems to fade, almost as if it has dissolved into thin air. For an Eau de Parfum, this is disappointing, as one expects more longevity from such a concentration. It’s a bit sobering when the initial fascination fades as quickly as a fleeting thought that cannot be held onto.

The sillage - that invisible trail a scent leaves behind - is rather restrained. It stays close to the body, subtle and almost shy, instead of presenting itself confidently. This may be pleasant for those who do not like overpowering fragrances, but it can also be perceived as too subdued if one had wished for a slightly more intense expression.

Overall, it is a scent that has its quiet qualities. It is pleasant, subtle, and friendly, without drawing much attention to itself. Perhaps this very restraint is its essence - a scent that does not demand the spotlight but finds its place as a quiet companion. Still, there remains the feeling that a bit more depth, a bit more presence, could make it more memorable. It leaves a neutral-positive impression that neither excites nor disappoints, but simply occupies its space.

Name/color match. Dark fruit liqueur notes. Elegant oriental cream. Thought of tonka instead of cocoa. Gourmand/sweet, but not too heavy/sticky.

Goes in a gourmand direction. But stays beautifully airy.

Cheapie Gourmandbaby vs. Althaïr & Goddess Eau de Parfum - creamier/prettier than the original.

Wow! What a drugstore surprise! Warm, soft, fruity, vanilla, dusted with cocoa. This will be my Christmas scent. Delighted. :-)

Lacoste Sensuelle, yes indeed.
Really delicious, a half-gourmand at its finest. I managed to snag the last bottle at Rossi today.

Starts a bit fruity, becomes vanilla-spicy-chocolatey in the drydown, but very elegant, refined, modern, cozy. Smells expensive! Great scent!

To me, it smells like a mix of B. Goddess and Kayali Vanilla. Such a great scent. N. still noticeable on clothes after 8 hours.

If I had had this one before, I would have skipped Athena and Angham.

I also smell hints of Burberry Goddess and Althair. I layer it with others or molecular scents for better longevity.
