Strenesse Velvet (Althair in Female) beautiful
I sprayed Velvet on the back of my hand for the first time at the DM and immediately thought to myself, somehow you look familiar. I sprayed the fragrance on my neck and décolleté the very next day because I wanted to test it extensively before I bought it. What can I say, the durability is unfortunately still pretty poor, the fragrance felt gone after two hours and my partner didn't notice it either, even though he was standing very close to me. The closer he got to me (smells as good as on my neck ;-) he also said that the Velvet looked familiar. In the meantime, we both know what it reminds us of and it is Altair from Parfums de Marly only in a much more gentle, softer and much more feminine version. I think that with Althaïr the bergamot comes through too strongly for me, although it is listed in the top note and shouldn't actually be so prominent, or should be more subtle. Altair is a beautiful fragrance, but in my opinion it develops too masculine on my skin, although I find it really beautiful. (It is stunning on my boyfriend, not "just beautiful") I will still buy Velvet because I just love the scent and I always wanted Altair to smell like this on me.
Would I recommend Velvet, yes but only from the fragrance DNA, the durability and the sillage are unfortunately underground, please test first. If someone here on Parfumo should discover a fragrance like Velvet only with better durability/sillage, please let me know, I would be very happy about it. Apart from the H/S, I think it's super great to find such a beautiful, almost niche fragrance in the drugstore.
