Great Introduction to the World of Oud Oils
A certain animalic note is definitely present, but I don't find it disturbing. The scent also reminds me of a spicy soft cheese. Over time, the fragrance becomes softer, even slightly sweet. I don't perceive it as unpleasant or even fecal. For me, it's a good introduction to the world of agarwood, even if there probably isn't any "real wood" in the bottle at this price. I would rate the price-performance ratio as very good. The 6 ML changes hands for between 25 and 40 euros. It has awakened my desire for more, and I am already looking forward to trying other attars. The packaging and the quality of the bottle are very good for the price.

I bet there's a lot of vetiver in there. Still, I like the scent.

I don't really pick up on the vetiver - but it wouldn't bother me either :-)

You've picked up on that pretty well. Based on the different types of oud, you can already tell that it's a relatively nonspecific sampler. And indeed, such big players can achieve this with very low-quality and weakly expressive plantation oud. And surely, with this kind of "oud," it's stretched accordingly, which is noticeable in H & S.

Thanks for your very informative reply and the compliment. I've been browsing through your incredible collection a lot in the past few days. What would you recommend for my next "step"?
