T10 I Boadicea Blue Sapphire Feeling without Rose & Oud - how is that?

The "Taif T10 | Taif Al-Emarat / طيف الإمارات" is often compared to the Blue Sapphire Parfum by Boadicea; that's why it was so exciting for me; but even more intriguing was finding out how this could work without Rose & Oud, the main components of the Blue Sapphire Parfum. Yep, because if you read the fragrance pyramid, you will search in vain for them.

So, what is the "Taif T10 | Taif Al-Emarat / طيف الإمارات" like, and does it really come close to the Blue Sapphire Parfum?

- The opening is truly opulent; spicy, slightly fresh, slightly sharp, and also slightly sweet. The interplay between cardamom and the spices is clearly noticeable. An opening that already has depth in itself. Soon, the rosemary comes through, which conveys a herbal-fresh feeling and balances very well with the sweet-resinous amber, contrasting with each other.

- In the drydown, the fragrance becomes slightly creamier, but still retains a good spiciness and settles on a woody-creamy base; somehow lively, yet elegant due to the creamy texture of the sandalwood. A beautiful finish for such a wonderful oriental fragrance.

Now to the exciting question: Is it a substitute for the Blue Sapphire Parfum? Not a substitute, but a good alternative. Despite the lack of Oud and Rose, the fragrance somehow smells similar in the air; probably the cardamom, which smells very similar, and the interplay of amber and the peppery elements that produce this similar spiciness in the air. However, the fragrances are by no means identical, and the differences are in some ways greater, for example:

- The Blue Sapphire Parfum and the "Al Qurashi Blend (Eau de Parfum) | Abdul Samad Al Qurashi / عبدالصمد القرشي" are much more similar, as you can clearly smell the angular and spicy rose-oud. The "Taif T10 | Taif Al-Emarat / طيف الإمارات" is not worse, but different! It conveys a similar fragrance experience, but is much more suitable for everyday wear, and more rounded, creamier.

- The "Taif T10 | Taif Al-Emarat / طيف الإمارات" becomes creamier over time, whereas Blue Sapphire Parfum and "Al Qurashi Blend (Eau de Parfum) | Abdul Samad Al Qurashi / عبدالصمد القرشي" become earthier, "dirtier" in the drydown.
Overall, the "Taif T10 | Taif Al-Emarat / طيف الإمارات" is a distinctly independent fragrance that beautifully showcases this oriental opulence; yet it somehow remains wearable and pleasant, almost year-round! The sillage is firmly in the upper third!
