This review is a bit different.
Different because I do not own the fragrance in a full bottle, but I will probably have to get it soon.
This fragrance is somewhat unknown and my first scent from this Oriental house.
Only selected fans of the fragrance (shoutout to Kai Porten and Marc Gebauer) have promoted it so far, which is why I simply had to take a closer look.
1. The bottle / The presentation:
Unfortunately, I can only evaluate the bottle with the help of external descriptions/experiences.
In general, however, it can be said that for the price (about €170 - excluding the expensive shipping), the presentation is really beautiful.
The perfume comes in a beautifully decorated, reddish-brown "wooden case" and is embedded in a recess there (see picture of the Parfumo "Yusuf40").
The bottle itself holds 75ml and is neither too large nor too small.
It definitely represents the highlight and casts a shadow over the already beautiful case.
Let’s just say, those who like gold and reflective surfaces will be very happy here.
(Note: The OVP can best be viewed on the official website.)
2. The scent:
Now to the main part, which certainly interests most Parfumos.
I admit it is difficult for me to describe the scent in full.
Right at the beginning, you are greeted by a sweet, but not cloyingly sweet note.
This also seems quite fruity (raspberry-like?!), which I would attribute to the cardamom and tonka bean.
In my mind, the opening of the fragrance "17 Rosso" by Roberto Ugolini smelled similar, but of course not identical.
The fragrance is generally classified as sweet/fruity, but it does not lack a certain freshness.
It is almost a background freshness (floral notes), which remains constantly present and envelops the fruity notes.
Amber, which in my opinion always suggests a certain warmth, does not behave "warm" here prominently.
The freshness clearly dominates, and the keyword "western" fits the fragrance very well.
The progression of the fragrance is rather linear.
It is interesting that "pearl" is listed as a fragrance note.
I can imagine what is meant by that, but I perceive the "note" as rather creative in nature.
The scent is simply very rounded, smooth, and appears complex - like the smooth surface of a pearl.
An experience I very much enjoyed.
3. The projection/sillage:
I would place the projection/sillage in the good middle range.
It is not strong, but also not weak on the skin.
From time to time, however, you experience a little "push" and perceive the scent more strongly.
4. The longevity:
The actual longevity of the fragrance is very good.
Although the scent becomes very close to the skin after about 6 hours, it can be perceived there for much longer.
But as always: Different skin = Different progression!
5. My conclusion:
I may be a bit biased because it is my first scent from the house, but let me put it this way: The fragrance makes you crave more!
I also got this fragrance in Dubai along with several others from the brand. They have such beautiful and unique scents. I can't wait for them to finally come to Europe!
