small but fine
Today, I came across small colorful little cartons in triangular shape at my trusted perfumery.
Ted Baker. London. Cate.
That didn’t mean anything to me. But since I have a deep connection to England, and especially London, I bought Cate blindly.
Once home and sprayed, my anglophile feeling did not deceive me.
What a fine, friendly scent wafts around my nose!
A subtle entry of peach, apple, and orange creates a delicately fruity beginning.
Then, with British restraint, the cheerful jasmine - followed by a distinct yet unobtrusive lily of the valley.
The woody notes form a noble conclusion.
Which beautiful Cate must have posed for this enchanting fragrance?
The lovely wife of Prince William?
Unfortunately, I only managed to snag a 10ml bottle - but it fits nicely in my handbag.
Tomorrow, I will stock up on the small but fine bottles.
"Good old Britain" is always reliable.
