Bargain blind buy begets beautiful bouquet
I ordered this after seeing it on sale from an online vendor. As a (bio)chemist, I'm easily swayed by anything that alluded to my field and Ted Baker's line of precious metals instantly caught my eye.

The packaging is simple, but effective; copper colour reflected on the box and the lid, with a black bottle.

First spray and a very fresh citrusy smell (think grapefruit; fortunately it never veers into cleaning product territory) with some sort of oceanic undertones. Very fresh, but with some subtle spicy and woody notes, that grow as it stays. Three hours in, a warm cedar, a touch of smoke, some patchouli stays in. A metallic note remains throughout, but it's not at all unpleasant (think the smell of... Well.. copper coins)

The smell does wear off (if, like me, you're economical about sprays) after 5-6 hours.

For me it has been a great choice for the start of autumn on a work day. By the time I'm home, it's very much gone, but I can reach for another scent if going for a night out.

On a Spring Day...
... in a suit to the office. I have a meeting later with a big client. So I need a discreet fragrance, and this one is almost perfect. Elegantly dressed and a nice discreet perfume. A man of the world has style.

When applying this scent, you first get citrus notes with a green background. This is followed by aquatic, floral, and peppery accords. The musk makes it powdery, with a hint of woodiness mixed in. The patchouli adds a bit of darkness. It's a nice masculine scent but not too extreme.

The longevity and sillage are good.

This is a nice men's fragrance that can be worn well from around 16 and is suitable for school, university, the office, dining out, and also in the evening when the scent should be fresh yet discreet. It works really well on warm days but can also be worn on cold days. I don’t really see this scent for women, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t try it and perhaps find something nice and fresh.

Anyone who enjoys a citrusy green aquatic peppery masculine scent will find a good option here for little money.

The Teenager in a Leather Jacket
Ted Baker ended up in my perfume collection simply because it was available for €35. Until now, I had no knowledge of this fragrance line, but it had to be tried.
So I took the Cu/Copper and tested it right at work (sports retail). The longevity is about 4 hours. The sillage is even satisfactory in the first hour.
Unfortunately, that’s where it ends. Well, for €35/100ml, that’s not tragic.
Bergamot, grapefruit, leather, and pepper. That’s what I can pick out. "Pick out" more in feeling, as leather is not included in the pyramid.

The top note is fresh. The heart is leathery, fresh, which sounds rather unusual. The base then becomes aquatic and sharp.

For students and office workers, it’s a great option, as the not-so-good sillage is unobtrusive.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be purchased.

First citrusy fresh, it is then replaced by a peppery aquatic note. It can be worn well in the office, very discreet.

At first, fresh citrus notes emerge, then the scent develops into a peppery-woody aroma with patchouli joining in. Good.
