enough pepper here for this to lean masculine to me

Very safe and pleasant, light and citrusy. That's mostly all I get out of it, nice citrus with woodiness. It's pretty close to Wonderwood but with more citrus and florals. Not a bold fragrance but enjoyable to wear and for others if they can smell it. Not a projection monster but with these Schoen scents, the aroma comes and goes. There's enough pepper here for this to lean masculine to me.

Update: I was under the impression that this was an ISO-E super scent but having worn it couple of times and also experiencing some of Schoen's other creations, this one smells more like it uses Javanol, not ISO-E. It gives off a persistent, warm, heavy-handed sandalwood.

Waking Up!

I've been circling around this fragrance for a while.
Attracted by the concept, I am of course aware that it must be a marketing strategy. Curiosity won out, and the fragrance absolutely had to be tested.

My current taste in fragrances plays a significant role: a bit of everything: freshness, citrus, flowers, wood. Clean as well. A little of everything, but definitely not too much.

This fragrance fulfills that excellently. In such a way that the right enthusiasm didn't set in during the first tests because I thought: "Oh, I already have that."

Exactly THAT is the point; here I find my current preferences united in a fragrance, which is the crux of the fascination for this subtle scent.

It starts with somewhat rough citrus impressions, where I can definitely smell the magnolia. This clearly reminds me of Chanel's "Cristalle Eau Verte," although Chanel is much stronger.
This impression lingers here, much more delicate than Chanel, but still persistent until the end.
Subtly, floral and woody notes come into play; I can't name individual scent notes, but overall it leads to a rather creamy impression for me, still very subtle.

The effect this fragrance blend has on me is: I wake up! After a while, I smell the rough citrus again, alternating with the floral and slightly woody notes, and so on.

The longevity is medium to good. A good everyday companion for both men and women. And it seems to enhance concentration, or at least I think so.

Out of curiosity, I ordered a sample of this fragrance because I find the title very interesting. And, what can I say, I also find the scent exciting! Somehow very revitalizing, I smell fresh, floral notes, but there’s a really great, leathery-woody base, and what’s truly fascinating for me is the simultaneous coexistence of these scent directions. Typically, it would be: first flower, then leather (or vice versa). Here, however, both remain consistently side by side, for me a mix of rough sea breeze and summer freshness, energetic and meditative at the same time. An euphoric calm, if you will. I can't pinpoint individual scent notes; on my skin, there’s a homogeneous contradictory scent; and yes, I really find that intelligent and imaginative.
This perfume fits perfectly with the current transition from winter to spring, the sun is still shining timidly through the light blue sky, and you want to rush out at 5 in the morning and jog a lap through the park; at the same time, it also suits an evening relaxation meditation bath by candlelight and Enya. Sounds paradoxical, it is, so just give it a try! :-)

Without Imagination

It starts citrusy with a slightly herbal note. A few flowers cautiously try to assert themselves, but they hardly stand a chance against the initial notes. One can faintly detect a soft touch, which is probably due to cashmeran and musk.
Otherwise, the scent remains harsh, citrusy, and somewhat bitter, which does not suit my taste at all.
There is nothing to be seen of imagination.

Comfort Scent

Strongly reminiscent of other molecular scents by Geza Schön (No. 4?), yet with a feminine touch - which I love. And unfortunately, I can hardly relate to classic feminine fragrances otherwise!

Even though the floral, fruity notes are present at first, my nose is not overwhelmed and I don't feel the instinct to flee.

The scent later develops into a citrus-woody profile with a notably long-lasting pepper note.

It is definitely clean, yet I don't find it boring. Perfect for everyday wear and work. The sillage is there for the first 2-3 hours for me, it lasts through a workday - so I enjoy reapplying it throughout the day.
