White Musk Libertine The Body Shop 2011 Eau de Toilette

A fragrance that seems to have descended from the clouds. I am familiar with many powdery perfumes, but this scent was my unmistakable signature scent. If I had to describe the essence of the color pink, I would do it with this fragrance. So simple and yet so beautiful can fragrance notes be. This scent could effortlessly come from the house of Narciso Rodriguez or Juliette Has a Gun. It is subtle, clinging delicately to the skin without leaving a strong sillage. This is not a fragrance that knocks you over and makes people say, "Wow, you smell amazing!" No, White Musk Libertine is more of a quiet, contemplative seducer. It unfolds its magic only in a hug or when sitting closely together. Gently, the fragrance makes its way, radiating an aura that one immediately perceives as trustworthy. A feeling of security spreads. Perhaps it is because it is slightly floral and somewhat milky, as it conveys the atmosphere of an enchanted, old farmhouse.

What can I discern in it? For me, the rose crystallizes more as the floral component, gently nestled on a cloud of cream and musk. The cream and musk complement each other perfectly, so the sweet nuances (I also detect a hint of honey) do not come across as too intrusive or heavy. Creamy, delicate, fresh, yet not too gourmand.

Ah ... It is all the more regrettable that this treasure is no longer produced and is hardly to be found. If anyone knows a similar fragrance, please share. I am deeply saddened that I can no longer indulge in this pink-white mist.
