Oops, Tonka and vanilla again - is that still exciting?
Hello dear Parfumos,
i am now so enthusiastic about the Rasasi brand that I order the fragrances blindly - and am usually rewarded for it. Of course, one or the other is just like the other...one or the other or does not keep what the pyramid and the full-bodied promises promise...just...promise. But I haven't experienced a real belly landing with this brand yet, as (most) fragrances are quite cheap to get hold of. Rasasi pour Homme L'Eau Verte was a supplementary purchase - how he did, I will tell you now...
The top note is fresh floral-sweet, the bergamot, which is indicated in the pyramid, I do not smell at all. After about 20 minutes I can smell the flowers, especially the jasmine - without it smelling too feminine. Cypress swings with me, the lavender unfortunately goes down (I like lavender very much and imagine that it has a calming effect on me...). Unfortunately, a synthetic shower gel vibe resonates in the heart note, which is hardly still present after about an hour. At the same time the whole thing gets a bit more woody and sweeter - at that point I already have the fear that the base will be a `moderne´ unit vanilla tonka mixture, which the inclined perfumer should know by now...
From the 2nd hour onwards the Sillage shrinks to arm's length, whereby I am of the opinion that it fits so for the smell - more would be a little obtrusive, since slowly the flowers retreat and a kind of bright, somewhat too sweet and fresh liquorice sets the tone. After 4 hours there is nothing more to smell of the little flowers, the described light wood (now not quite so fresh) has taken over the sceptre. Unfortunately the base is nothing special, because towards the end it's the feared Vanilla-Tonka-Mix with a little patch, which makes the quite exciting fragrance process to `verlangweilen´droht. The shelf life is ok with 7-8 hours, the Sillage collapses after approx. 3-4 hours and then becomes almost very close.
My conclusion: You can buy it, but you don't have to have it, because the fragrance is not individual enough and unfortunately ends at will. But since the little tuft is offered for sale at a fair price, it is not a disappointment and so he may stay in my Rasasi fundus until further notice...
