I don't know why but it seems that pear is tranding in this period, and we have another take on this sweet, creamy note.
On this the opening is quite interesting because the sweet creaminess of the pear is associated with spices, pepper and cinnamon, to create a very bright still "soft" feeling, Frankincence is just an hint, don't be scared by the note listed in the opening. Then the rose kicks in to create this light, sweet, creamy feeling, everything is brigth, very uplifting, almost "transparent" mood, expecially in a sunny but fresh day as today (I tend to consider this fragrance more suitable for day rather than night).
When the fragrance evolves in the drydown even if the notes change the feeling remains the same, creaminess of the sandalwood accord and freshness from the smooth musks with some nuances from the florals (I cannot pinpoint the Hyacinth listed, but I have to admit that I'm not very familiar with the note so who knows).
I noticed here and there that this is often compared with Guidance Eau de Parfum but I cannot agree on this. Even if they have in common the pear and the florals this has nothing of the tipical heavy-kitsch style that characterizes Amouage brand. Quite the opposite, here everything is light, airy, yet sweet and creamy. Guidance is much ticker, and the Bisch-Akigalwood signature makes it extremely long lasting and even obsessive.
