Which perfume lover doesn't know it? Boadicea's Nemer was or is a very special scent. It brought me closer to an animalistic oud for a hefty price in a beautiful golden bottle. I believe I paid more than €300 back then. I had never smelled anything so wild. I call these Orientals wild eaglewood beasts! They scream for recognition!
Vinegia from the Merchant of Venice reminded me most of Nemer. Here I see rose water sprayed in the air surrounded by sweaty men who have rubbed themselves with animalistic musk and oud oils.
The whole thing is a mix of feces sweetened and burning juniper gin.
Some may find this whole beaver musk unbearable. I, on the other hand, see it as bold, loud, and sexy. Too much of it and one is surely turned off, but a 180 € bottle used sparingly creates excitement and curiosity in my counterpart.
It is exciting, it is different, you can't miss it! Those who want that should go for it. It can also be very soft, around hour four. Then it is like balm and the wild beast has calmed down. Clear recommendation for bold men and women. It is worth its price for the quality. However, it barely beats Boadicea's Nemer.
