Authentic Orange Blossom
After purchasing the beautiful "Arancia Brasile | The Merchant Of Venice," I had to get the Neroli Marocco as well. A great line that you can find here from this house in Venice. The name says it all with these titles, without any nasty surprises and without much "frills." Plus, you can get them at fair prices: the MSRP is around €60, but you can often find them for about half that. There are many exciting themes in this line, most of them kept rather minimalist, focusing on this minimalist pyramid. I quite like that.
Here, the theme is clearly recognizable: the orange blossom and the corresponding neroli. This one is from Morocco, which is quite famous and popular in fragrances. I am an absolute fan of this note, as it simply smells of high summer. For me, it is one of the most summery floral notes there is, and it just transports those summer vibes. Even though many see this floral note as more feminine, I find it quite unisex and simply soothing and pleasant.
The fragrance comes in a small 30ml bottle. Unfortunately, this is the only size available in the series. It would have been cool if there were larger bottles with a bit of a discount on the per ml price. But 30ml is great for taking along and has its own charm.
The bottles are rather simple and a bit old-school. They are well-made and feel great in the hand.
In terms of scent, you get exactly what it says on the label: neroli and orange blossom. An absolutely summery floral note that also works with a bit of citrus freshness. Those who are fans of this note will probably love or at least like this fragrance. If you need a lot of development and complexity, this is not the right choice. From start to finish, you basically only get this note. It is very summery-floral, slightly citrusy, and also subtly sweet. I am convinced by this lovely note for everyday summer wear. The fragrance description is naturally brief with this minimalist progression, but that’s not negative if you prefer it that way.
Longevity is significantly better than with my other Arancia Brasile. Orange blossom-neroli notes also hold up quite well. Sillage is in the medium range and pleasant for summer everyday life/leisure.
Overall, a neroli-orange blossom no-brainer for high summer. This fragrance works perfectly when it’s warm, and in sunshine, this note unfolds its full charm. This fragrance offers no nasty surprises.
