Thoughts of a garden by the sea
What a wild whirl it was. The tart hairy tomato vines rotated trickling with sour grasses and raging drops of bitter bergamot danced with tracers of cool lime in a green cloud. Munro could be heard humming blissfully-to the hedge trimmer, the whirring buzz-and into his wooden play mill wheel he poured a bucket of salty water and sang: I'll take the garden to the sea!
Soon there was only damp moss on the mill, summers are too short for longer games, and the garden became quiet again.
**
In the "Bergamo Cologne" the tomatoes have long since been harvested. The panicles and tart green stems of the 'vines' are so authentic, you feel like rubbing them between your hands, along with damp, sour grasses and fresh rasped bergamot and lime peel. And you've been swimming in the sea recently too, there's still that warm crust of salt on your skin. After just two hours or so, the tomato vines retreat with the hesperides to a woody earthy oak moss where they flicker like damp pearls for a while longer. After another two hours, there is only a delicate hint on the skin.
