Savile No
The Savile Row Company has about as much to do with the Savile Row as Lidl has with Harrods. Here, in a distant reminiscence of the classic English style, cheap shirts and suits in Vietnam or China are knit together, of course styled down to the mainstream taste. Like Charles Tyrwhitt, only one step under. So what can you expect from perfume? Certainly not a real Savile Row level, so a classic Geo. F. Trumper fragrance. But perhaps something English worthy of an award, like the excellent Woods of Windsor? Nothing. As the Adcopy reveals, this fragrance is designed for the "modern man," not for the gentleman and consequently has nothing to do with English perfume tradition. The fragrance pyramid is - literally - sunk and lied to. The bottom line is that this is nothing more than a cheap, interchangeable industrial fragrance, an ambroxan stinker at Otto-Kern-Level. In this respect, the TK-Maxx Grabbelkiste is the right choice for 10 Euro.

Be my Valentine
On Valentine's Day my dear brother-in-law and my faithful hunting dog have a birthday - and both have chosen a suitable date because they are the kindness in person.

My beloved doggy looks out for me from heaven.

But Kay is still walking around on earth - and is looking after me from the Sauerland.

He is a great sporty attractive man - and when he takes off his riding clothes and slips into a suit, he already looks very gentlemanlike.
But of the humorous casual kind.

During a visit he never fails to bring me noble roses AND a cute plush.
That's what I call good manners!

And that's what Savile Row is coming up with.
The appearance is classic but casual - without strictness.

Citrically cool, the start provides transparency - which runs through the entire fragrance.

At no point does Savile seem heavy or even intrusive - but he keeps his British elegant statement.
The rose geranium provides for flowery softness - and the jasmine for brightness.

This gentleman's in a good mood.

The nutmeg is finely dosed and the amber is attractively sweet.
Slightly woody underlines the masculine, but turned towards character of the fragrance.

A fragrance to fall in love with - be my Valentine .

Relaxed mint ... it's always good !
Fished with Minigolf's wonderful Kommi, I became curious: citric, mint, flowers, spices, woods. Yep, that doesn't just sound good, it's him too, the Brit!

In the first quarter of an hour this Cheapy is as it were vitalizing as familiar, which is due to a fruity fresh start and above all to its tea-like note, the mint of which is clearly perceptible. That's how you immediately feel "at home" with him.

Then, after about an hour, something slightly faded is added, with a focus on jasmine, which gives the fragrance a young, almost sweet momentum - super-arranged and finely accentuated by well-chosen woods. Because here there seems to be some sandalwood and later also cedar at work. Very nice is that the scent for about two hours again and again shifts between the floral and woody notes, but always interspersed with its wonderfully relaxing mint.

After the fading of the flora a touch of flower sweetness remains and the elixir becomes quite transparent in the further drydown, which makes it appear very clear and clean thanks to the cedar (?). So even after his half-time, I feel this Brit is a feel-good all-rounder, who doesn't stand out any bigger, but likes it all the more. A kind of "back-up scent" whose mint makes it revive again and again and at the same time roots more in coniferous than deciduous forest - simply wonderful. Therefore, it is particularly recommended for daily work and leisure, because it looks very tidy and unobtrusive. And who wouldn't want such a smart companion? Therefore I see three advantages united in his universal talent:

1) suitable for daily wear, one should rather belong to those users who do not want to worry so much about the variety of fragrances, and neither attract attention nor want a larger collection.

2) recommended as an alternative fragrance when you need a break from the many more complex fragrances you usually like to surround yourself with.

3) to be used as an ever-goer when you can't decide for one of your other fragrances.

One can blindly trust this soothing British man, for he accompanies his wearer unobtrusively throughout the day, yet always noticeably. It should be replenished after about 5 hours, but it does this without a huge sillage - optimal for the office. Despite a certain markance, it is rather a discreet floral-green clean man scent with a fine twist into the spicy wood. And his

relaxing mint ... it's always good !

He left me no choice
Over and over again I sneaked around the fragrance at Tk-Maxx, called up his perfume page, eyed around it again, a few times within three weeks. The description of the fragrance and the price (almost 10 Euro for 100 ml) convinced me, but above all my curiosity. Now I have him and I don't regret it. What I get to sniff is very well done. Not too sweet, not too harsh, just right. The scent opening is rather citric and minty, I also think to smell Yuzu. This is a long lasting, somewhat rough and intense exotic citrus.
What follows then is almost ready for the stage: "Madame Rose and Miss Jasmin, your appearance please.
But not in evening gown or fine clothes, but casual and natural, like colourfully dressed boys and girls in the middle of a herb meadow, laughing, joking and good things.
Later we leave for the forest. Light mixed forest in the evening dew. Wonderfully fragrant scrubs and moss in the undergrowth. Cool and warm at the same time. For sitting, sniffing and "listening".
I hear a creek gurgling by. Also an evening bird concert. And I like to enjoy this moment.
