Fresh and airy
The elixir is substantially different from the EDP. It's airy and molecular like its siblings, but the patchouli gives it a masculine earthiness that I much prefer over the sweeter EDP. Be patient with the patch; it smells like Pine-Sol for the first twenty seconds, but then settles into a pleasantly green, fresh patchouli. The amber is toned down, and a grassy note pervades the opening. Somehow there's a light minty freshness here that reminds me of Amouage Enclave. Could be worn in any season as long as one goes easy on the sprayer. Clean, minimalist bottle design with a solid metal cap. Atomizers are top-notch.
Performance is tough to gauge; I quickly went nose-blind after two sprays. It seems to stick around, though with a closer sillage than the EDP.
