The Complete Calm of a Bush

When you think of eucalyptus, you never really remember the time spent with it as particularly pleasant. Eucalyptus is one of those unfortunate plants that people only pay attention to when they are feeling unwell. And once the time of wheezing and coughing is over, it is forgotten.
Fortunately, "Thymes" knows that this Australian character plant has value not only as food for marsupials and a cough remedy. Thus, eucalyptus here is capable of being the sole theme of a perfume with its fragrance compounds. Who would have thought it?
After application, you have to search long for what you know from the cold lozenge. No trace of the overpowering, somewhat icy stuff that you usually like to pop in your mouth. Instead, there’s a mild, woody, almost velvety ethereal note that has a hint of cinnamon. Yet, hidden away is the familiar penetrating medicinal note that you expected. From the very beginning, this fragrance manages to dim the common, whipped, and almost bitter eucalyptus aroma into a beautiful warm twilight and to eavesdrop on a well-tempered heart that you had no idea existed. Surrounding this lovely mild center are swarms of beautiful citrus aromas that complete the utterly rare impression of a warm freshness.
As it develops, it becomes a bit melancholic and floral, but fortunately hardly sweet. Warmth and calm dominate the base tone until the end.
How "Thymes" achieved this, I do not know, but it is a very special experience to encounter this perfume. A scent that you would like to have around you like warm water or a friendly breeze. A scent that can comfort. A scent that I will place in my cabinet.

I first thought of "Craft" by Andrea Maack, but here it seems to have far fewer rough edges, more friendliness and warmth - I need to check this one out, you're absolutely right!

Finally, a comment from you again, and what a comment it is! Thank you. I only know eucalyptus as a fine ingredient, not as the main focus.
