It is the Spirit of the Times

Ladies and gentlemen, feel free to reprimand me for this comment and start a shitstorm. I’m writing it anyway because it’s close to my heart.

I got to know Tiffany because my favorite YouTubers wore the famous heart necklaces. I found the simple yet special jewelry really pretty and saved up for a while until I could afford something for myself. To this day (!) I still wear my necklace and the matching bracelet with great pleasure, as it goes with everything and can be combined in a very individual way. Yes, yes, YouTube, that’s not real work, and those influencers - I can already hear the voices from off-screen. But it is the spirit of the times - nowadays, the young ladies and gentlemen from the internet are stars and embody a certain lifestyle. And this lifestyle is represented by the new fragrance from Tiffany. By the way: that lifestyle is neither better nor worse than that of 10, 20, 30, or 40 years ago. Times have simply changed. I always get a bit annoyed when I read comments on Parfumo like "fragrances were better in the past, nowadays there’s only diluted broth!" In my opinion, that’s not true - the fragrance taste of young women is simply different, and Tiffany didn’t want to create a Shalimar 2 here.

The fragrance is by no means bad; it is beautifully fresh with a certain zesty fruitiness. Unlike many other fresh perfumes, it actually lasts quite a long time on the skin and is not too close to the body, but has a noticeable sillage. I can imagine Tiffany beautifully in spring, with a delicate dress and a loose cardigan over it. It is feminine and has nothing heavy about it - but that’s nothing for which a perfumer should be ashamed. Why should that be "the downfall"...? The bottle also fits beautifully with the fragrance; it is as clear and elegant as my jewelry pieces. Without much fuss, but classic and bright.

Thank you.

Yes, it’s really a very nice scent, I like it too. The annoying thing is that it lasts less than 3 hours for me! Definitely too little for the price asked. Unfortunately.

Thank you for your lovely comment. I really, really like Tiffany. It's delicate and refined, and even though I'm not one of the very young women anymore, I enjoy wearing it. Tiffanypokal

Great comment! I stumbled upon the scent at Douglas yesterday and found it to be the best among all the others, right next to the new Gucci. I will definitely test it a second or third time, and it might even make it onto my wish list. In my opinion, it's better than the average Parfumo rating. Plus, it has very good longevity.

Well written!! Tiffany has gone mainstream and has been for quite some time! Anyone looking for any references to Audrey Hepburn in this scent will undoubtedly be unsuccessful, and rightly so! Because if "Breakfast at Tiffany's" were to be filmed again today, the leading lady would probably fit this fragrance! The younger generation is the new clientele, and they want something fresh, appealing, and uncomplicated. That's just how it is! So: every little perfume has its own outfit! :D

I don't understand the bad reviews either; it's a lovely scent for spring and it lasts a really long time on me. It even survived the shower... I could still smell it on my wrist the next day :D
Thanks for the comment!

I completely agree, even if it doesn't suit the fans of strong scents ;)

If this is the new spirit of the times, then I'm really in the wrong movie.

I like this kind of fresh floral scents and I agree with you: it's aimed at a younger audience. Fresh floral fragrances are in trend.

I love classics and vintage scents. Heavy and oriental fragrances. And now and then something fresh as well. I just don't like anything too sweet. I find this one quite well done. There are definitely worse scents out there. I think fans of Chloe would enjoy this. I don't believe Tiffany ever intended to create a lush fragrance here. It should appeal to young ladies. There are really much worse scents. I like it a lot!

You're right that not everything was better in the past. And the constant "you have to try the vintage" is getting on my nerves too.
Unfortunately, this fragrance is extremely simple and very flat. No one expects a Shalimar, but I think it could have been a bit more special. That said, I'm not throwing away my keychain either ;-).

No, not all fragrances were better back then. And there are definitely better scents than this one today.
