On New Paths

Well, you actually don't fit into my fragrance world at all.

Your fruit.
It is so delicately creamy, it is so puréed, it is so strained.
There are no seeds, there is no pulp.
You don't come across as artificially sweetened to me.
Sure, you are sweet. Much sweeter than I usually like. There’s nothing bitter, no moss or anything like that.
But I don’t feel like you’re clogging my pores and nose.

Your dark berries also bring me a bit of pear. And I have the feeling that one or two small green leaves might have been whirled through the mixer as well. But just briefly, as they were probably well strained afterwards.

And while I’m still on the fruit cream, flowers come in and merge with the fruit. They have such a fine aromatic spice nuance. And I must say, it suits you excellently.

You become a little warmer. Not that there was even a hint of coolness before. No, a softened vanilla note is added. This happens quite slowly. You take your time. And for me, you also show a hint of amaretto. Not that you have any kind of alcoholic scent. No, it’s more like just the smell without the percentages. And you also appear a bit creamier to me now.

Actually. Why actually?

Yes, there are always surprises when testing what you actually like. I know that. A delicious smoothie!

Nice that he was able to win you over. A 9 is already a very good rating. And amaretto with vanilla, yum!

I'm still torn between liking it and being annoyed by it ;-) To my nose, it smells like a very upgraded Fructis shampoo. But that also gives it a cheerful, refreshing vibe.

I couldn't handle that one at all; it was too fruity and too sweet for me.........

This scent doesn't really fit into my fragrance world either. Your thoughtful review pointed that out to me, so it's very good and helpful for me!

A bit too much fruit puree for my taste; I actually prefer moss. Why "actually"?! I stick with moss! ;-)

It’s definitely well made! Sweet, fruity, and synthetic isn’t really my thing, but I do enjoy scents like that sometimes.

I'm miles away from floral-fruity scents, and I guess that won't change in this lifetime. But now and then, there's always a nice surprise. So let's stay open to surprises :-)

I found it similar to that Alete fruit puree for babies from 6 months, which my baby niece gets offered with a spoon.

I know that feeling. You think some brands just don’t match, and then one scent surprises you. For me, it’s de Marly and Kayali. All good!
