The Uncharacteristic Freshie for Me

I had been looking for something fruity that smells delicious and is suitable for warm temperatures for a while. But none of those "typical" freshies are it.

I tried quite a few, Kirke, Erba Pura, Burlington, Tygar... just to name a few, but none of them ever really convinced me.
By chance, I stumbled upon Rosso Pompei and was eager to test it.

Now I hold it in my hands (the bottle is very sturdy, by the way... I could verify this during an unplanned drop test) :D

The cap is heavier than the bottle itself, and while the red doesn’t match the scent, it looks very good. The label on the front is made of leather; I am quite impressed with this presentation. Very high quality.

The scent:

After the first spray, I initially perceive a bit of grape, not particularly synthetic grape, rather just something fruity sweet. But the grapefruit quickly joins in, sour/bitter yet also fruity sweet, thanks to the two grapefruit varieties mentioned in the fragrance pyramid. Very zesty, refreshing, slightly bitter, and really delicious. That’s how I would describe the opening.

The grape plays only a small role; the main players in the opening regarding fruits are clearly the grapefruit and lemon, with green and floral notes in the background.

The bitter fruitiness of the perfume is my absolute favorite in the top note :) really great.
One can recognize similarities to scents like Burlington 1819 and "Le Gemme - Tygar | Bvlgari," although I believe it is closer to Tygar.

As it develops, it becomes woodier and also more floral, but personally, I don’t smell any of the flowers distinctly; in my opinion, they serve more to round off the woody notes and create a softer overall image. It harmonizes very well with the freshness and sweetness of the fruits. It is a very dense fragrance experience, not airy, but dense and intense.
And always present is this slight fruity bitter note that I like so much.
The late drydown loses some of its refreshing effect; it becomes warmer, softer, less woody, and remains fruity with an even more pronounced sweetness. In this later phase, it aligns more with scents like "Erba Pura | XerJoff," which has a similar drydown, for example.
Overall, a very nice progression that I enjoyed from start to finish.

Performance:

Even after showering, I could still smell it on my wrist.

The performance is clearly above average; it projects really well, the scent is very intense, and will certainly be well perceived.

I also think it should please most who smell it. And it will surely garner a compliment or two.

It is a perfume that one could really wear every day, in summer or winter, it doesn’t matter.

A simple scent, not very challenging for the wearer or those nearby, but really wonderfully executed.

Unisex, with a possibly very slight tendency towards the masculine, but absolutely unrestrictedly wearable for women as well.
It smells somehow grown-up, but also very modern.

For me, with Rosso Pompei, the search for a fruity delicious summer scent has "temporarily" come to an end :D
I am very satisfied and can finally wear something new for myself in the summer :)

Although I should mention in conclusion that Tygar and Burlington, for example, are both also truly excellent scents that serve the same purpose.
Erba Pura and Kirke are also loved by many and go in a similar direction.

Ultimately ;)

it’s simply a matter of personal taste which will be your favorite. So test and try before you order scents ;)

A really good release from Tiziana Terenzi.

I will continue to compare it and possibly update the review.

Thank you for reading.

Best regards, Deniz
