The Freshi atypical for me
I was looking for something fruity that smells delicious. And is well wearable at warm temperatures. But none of these "typical" freshis is.

I've tried quite a few, Kirke, Erba Pura, Burlington, Tygar.... to name just a few, But it has never really fully convinced me.
By chance I came across Rosso Pompei and I really wanted to test it.

Now I hold it in my hands (the bottle is very stable, by the way... I could check during an unplanned drop test) :D

The cap is heavier than the bottle itself, and the red does not match the fragrance, but looks very good. The label on the front is leather, I am quite excited about this presentation. Very high quality.

The fragrance:

After the first spray I first notice something grape, no particularly synthetic grape, rather simply something fruity sweet. It comes but quickly the grapefruit to it, sour / tart but also fruity sweet, for this are probably the two grapefruit varieties in the duft pyramid are responsible. Very tangy, refreshing a bit tart and really tasty. So I would describe the opening.

The grape takes only a small role, the main players of the opening as far as fruit is concerned, are clearly the grapefruit and lemon. With green and floral notes in the background.

The tart fruitiness of the perfume is my absolute favorite in the top note :) really great.
One recognizes proximity to fragrances such as Burlington 1819 and Le Gemme - Tygar whereby I think it is closer to the Tygar.

It becomes woodier and also more floral as it progresses, but I personally don't smell any of the florals out separately, in my opinion it rather serves to round off the woody notes a bit and create a softer overall picture. It harmonizes very well with the freshness and sweetness of the fruits. It is a very dense fragrance experience, not airy, but dense and intense.
And always with it is this light fruity tart note, which I like so much.
The late drydown loses some of the refreshing effect, it becomes warmer softer, less woody and remains fruity with an even clearer sweetness. In this later phase, he is more with fragrances like Erba Pura the has zb. a similar drydown.
Overall, a very nice course, which I liked from start to finish.

Performance:

Even after showering, I smelled him still on the wrist.

The performance is well above average, he projects really well, the scent is very intense, and will certainly be well perceived.

Also I think he should like most of the him smell. And with security for one or the other compliment Sorgen.

It is a perfume that you could really wear every day, in summer or winter, no matter.
A simple fragrance, not very challenging, for the wearer or for bystanders, but really wonderfully implemented.

Unisex, with a evtl very very slight tendency into the masculine, but ansolut unrestricted also for women tragbar.
He smells somehow adult, but also very modern.

For me, with Rosso Pompei the search for a fruity delicious summer fragrance "for now" has an end :D
i am very satisfied, and can now finally what for me new, wear in the summer :)

Where I should mention in conclusion, Tygar and Burlington zb. are both also really excellent fragrances. Which serve the same purpose.
Erba pura and Kirke is also loved by many. And also go in a similar direction.

Ultimately ;)

it is simply a question of your own taste, which will be your favorite. So test and try before you order fragrances ;)

A really good release from Tiziana Terenzi.

I will compare it further and possibly the review Updaten.

Thanks for reading.

This Tiziana Terenzi Is Really Worth The Money
Rosso Pompei is one of the perfumes that almost no one knows, or has on Parfumo. The fragrance disappears almost in the sinking of the infinite expanses of Parfumo. In my opinion, absolutely unjustly. Okay the price is already a bit high. But Kirké has also almost so an OVP price.

To the often mentioned similarity to Roja Burlington I can say that it is true. But I personally prefer Rosso Pompei to the Burlington in any case. The Burlington had a minty note that unfortunately triggered sweat associations for me. Rosso Pompei is also fruitier and a little sweeter.

Rosso Pompei begins with a fruit bouquet. Here can be identified quite clearly grapefruit and lemon. After 20-30 minutes, I can detect a very delicate floral DNA, but I can not pick out individual flowers here. Starting with the heart note, a nice woody DNA comes in as well. I don't know exactly what maple smells like as wood, but this soft and slightly sweet base note most likely comes from the combination of sandalwood, patchouli, cedar and maple.

I can only recommend you test Rosso Pompei. Here you do not have to be afraid of the Terenzi fruit explosion or an extreme sweetness

The bottle is as usual with Terenzi very massive. The design with the red also looks very nice in conjunction with the golden lid.

Fruity lillet wildberry on the beach
One of my favorite summer scents! In my opinion Rosso Pompei smells like a Lillet Wildberry. Durability and sillage are out-of-this-world! A fruity, tangy, incredibly great summer scent. I would describe it as a cross between Dior Rouge Trafalgar And PDM Meliora. And while I love the above scents - they can't hold a candle to Rosso Pompei!

Known DNA that always works
I only recently tested Rosso Pompei for the first time. Shame on my head.

First of all, I have to say that my nose may simply react differently to this fragrance than to some others or something was not quite normal with the bottling, but well... to the impression.

For me, it's a DNA that I've smelled here and there. At least always something like that. Be it Tygar by Bvlgari or the best example for me at the moment (since I own the fragrance) Turathi Blue by Afnan.
There are others, but I'll compare it with Turathi Blue for now.

The Turathi Blue is not quite as citrusy for me and doesn't really have that menthol-like character that I get from Rosso Pompei.
For me, the Rosso Pompei simply plays out this citric character more, almost in the direction of sour citrus.
In addition, Turathi Blue, for example, seems a little "darker" and more oriental to me, which I personally like better.
I can hardly detect the grape note that so many people perceive as wonderful in Rosso Pompei.
That surprised me a little.
I didn't find the fragrance particularly floral either, although I had often read and heard this.

The performance was strong.

A Head Turning—and Refreshing—Red Sangria
During a visit to Neiman Marcus in January, I stumbled upon Rosso Pompei in the luxury fragrance section as I caught a whiff of the sample. At first, I could not quite put my finger on why it seemed so familiar, but after some reflection (and buying a decant), I finally realized what it was—a red sangria.

----

The opening in the air is mostly alcohol (and possibly similar to rubbing alcohol to some), and that will turn off many people.

However, on my skin, it has a citrusy Mediterranean feel, complemented by a red wine smell that mixes an elegant booziness with a sweet and refreshing fruitiness. Combined, the opening smells like the red sangria I mentioned before. It is an exceptional opening that is not found in most fragrances.

As the fragrance dries down to the heart, the citrus fades and the wine note mixes with powdery florals, ambergris, and woods, creating a scent that combines a vineyard and coastal scent. In the base, the wine and most florals disappear, leaving a sweet woody aroma that lingers quietly.

Tiziana Terenzi fragrances are usually unisex with a feminine lean, and retail stores market Rosso Pompei more toward women. While Rosso Pompei will not appeal to people who seek a decisively masculine or feminine fragrance, the blend of masculine citrus and woods with feminine florals and a neutral wine scent makes it suitable for anyone regardless of gender.

Overall, Tiziana Terenzi's Rosso Pompei is a unique fragrance that combines a variety of scents to create a truly captivating experience. It is not overly sweet, and the overall composition is smooth.

----

The bottle design is stunning, featuring a harmonious combination of red and gold that creates a luxurious feel, fitting the fragrance's price point. The main cap design is noteworthy, taking inspiration from the Luna collection's moon phases. However, it is disappointing that the moon phase (assuming the gold moon is the bright full moon), is reversed and incorrect. That said, this potential inaccuracy does not affect the bottle's solid aesthetic appeal.

Functionally, the main cap is heavy (it weighs more than the bottle) and may be a concern for people with arthritic hands. Fortunately, a small cap (that matches the color and feel of the bottle) at the bottom of the packaging is available for people to use if this is a problem.

In terms of drawbacks, there are a couple of minor issues. First, while the atomizer sprays the scent evenly and smoothly, the range of the mist is short and requires the user to hold the bottle closer to the skin than expected. Second, the leather label used a weak adhesive that could cause its removal by a child, or perhaps via natural wear and tear.
----

Rosso Pompei boasts an impressive performance that is sure to leave an impact and will surprise anyone expecting a normally weaker citrus scent. With its potent projection, it can effortlessly fill up a small room for up to three hours and leave a long-lasting trail of scent that lingers for over 20 minutes.

The fragrance's overall longevity is remarkable, clocking in at an impressive 12 hours. However, it is important to note that one can become nose blind to the scent after a few hours of wear, while others can still smell you. Despite its steep price point of nearly $400 USD at luxury retailers like Neiman Marcus, Rosso Pompei offers a performance that is undoubtedly worth the investment.

----

With confidence, one can state that Rosso Pompei is a perfect option for spring and summer because of its citrus and floral notes. Such scents are ideal for warm weather. The wine note adds a touch of sweetness to the fragrance without being cloying, making it suitable even in hot weather.

Interestingly, the fragrance also works well in fall and winter, where it would stand out as a unique scent. While the wine note aligns well with the festive atmosphere of autumn, the citrus and floral notes may struggle to perform against the harsh winter cold compared to the wine and wood notes. Nonetheless, this should not discourage one from wearing this scent throughout the year.

Socially, one must keep in mind the strong projection and sillage of Rosso Pompei. Wearing it in an enclosed environment, such as an office or gym, may distract others. It is best to avoid using it in these environments or to apply it sparingly.

Yet, the strong sillage and projection of Rosso Pompei make it an ideal scent to receive attention, such as partying at a nightclub throughout the night. The scent is also perfect for outdoor activities, where the fresh Mediterranean vibe works in most places. In these social settings, Rosso Pompei will help you make a bold statement and leave an impression.

----

Overall, Rosso Pompei is an outstanding and unique citrus and wine fragrance that has excellent performance that should work well with most people.

Notice I said most people, as this scent is not for everyone.

The fragrance is likely to receive a negative reaction from those who are not fond of citrus or alcoholic notes, such as wine. Also, the unisex nature of the scent may disappoint those who are specifically looking for a masculine or feminine fragrance. It will annoy individuals seeking a subtle summer scent as Rosso Pompei announces itself boldly rather than staying inconspicuous. Finally, the retail price tag of almost $400 USD at a store like Neiman Marcus will scare some people off.

However, if someone seeks a luxury fragrance that is both refreshing and makes heads turn, Rosso Pompei is a fantastic option.

----

Writer's Note:

At the time of this review, people can find Rosso Pompei at trustworthy online discounters for around $150 USD. While the price may fluctuate, one can find the fragrance at a steep discount from the retail price.
