Cherry with an Elegant and Complex Resinous Woody Dry Down

Lost Cherry starts out with the smell of Morello cherries: deep, dark and richly fruity stewing in brandied juice. As it wears on the skin the fruitiness mellows and becomes deeper, nuttier and woodier with less edible sweetness accompanied by a nuanced warm spice. The drydown is a smooth, resinous-woody scent with flecks of cherry, vanilla bean, Christmas spices, unburnt tobacco and almonds.

Having previously been a huge fan of Gloria by Cacharel, there had been a longstanding cherry-almond shaped hole in my wardrobe after Gloria's discontinuation and the ridiculous prices on Ebay until I found this. That is not to say that one is a dupe for the other, but they are certainly related with Lost Cherry being significantly woodier and darker and Gloria more candy sweet and upbeat.

Absolutely unisex and probably suits anyone who is drawn to the scent. I think it is more elegant, well made and interesting compositionally than it gets credit for being due to the provocative name.
