Sweet cyanide syrup. Druggy bitter almond and drunken black cherry. Alluring and aloof, indulgent and narcotic. A molten morphine lollipop, flavoured fake blood. The cherry pulls medicinal, but this is a dose I want to savour. It takes a lot for an artificial cherry to overcome the childhood Robitussin PTSD (I won’t even touch red Starburst), so I have to admire Lost Cherry there. Love to see a weird girl go popular, even if it might make a villain of them. I can’t rationalise a full bottle but every tester I get my grubby little paws on is sucked dry within a month. Partly due to the longevity, which is oddly fleeting for such a thick scent. And partly the i-c-wot-u-did-there name, the glorified Duplo block vessel, the absurd price. Not going to fall for your tricks, Cherry.

Mental Snapshot: Maraschinos steeped in Snow White’s poison, a vampire night nurse, a smooth-talking roulette dealer promising better luck on the next whirl, or the whirl after that... You know she’s fake, but you’ll happily fall for her trap. Not a red flag, but a ~ crimson ~ one. If I ever buy a bottle of Lost Cherry I will be entering my Anna Delvey arc.

The sweet skin scent you can’t stop sniffing

When Chet Baker crooned, “Let’s get lost, in a romantic mist…” clearly he was singing about Lost Cherry.

The Cherry is there from the first blast then poof! She’s lost. But wait, what’s this I smell on my skin? She is still there, only found. There within the deep Balsam of Peru, lost in the rich Tonka Beans.

Subtle wafts of that top note lost to almonds, roses, and everything sweet still yearn to be found with every sniff that comes just when you think it’s gone for good. Such a flirty little scent this Cherry is! Why must she always remind me that she’s still there when I begin to think she’s gone?

And what comfort it is to realize she’s still there! How calming and cloud-like she tickles my senses, so sweet she is without sickening me. I do think we will get lost together…

Don’t get me wrong, I love this scent. But no perfume will ever be worth $350 unless it makes my celebrity crush of the month magically appear when it’s sprayed.

This isn’t a candy-like cherry, or the kind you smell in cherry soda. This is real, fresh cherry. It’s perfect and I want to drink it. But Tom Ford can get lost if he thinks it’s worth over $300. Maybe I’m too anti-capitalist for this hobby.

Oh and also this lasts like 3 hours maximum. Sure, you can reapply, but at this price point? It’s a yikes from me.

Expensive (but yummy) Cherry

I am Ukrainian, and sour cherries are nostalgic for me. We had cherry trees growing on every corner, and cherries were used in jams, compote, wine and pierogi fillings. To me, Lost Cherry smells fantastic, I don’t get any synthetic cough syrup, instead, I smell a mix of realistic cherry syrup, amaretto liqueur, and a subtle smoky note.

I bought a travel size spray and use it for special occasions. While it don’t regret the purchase, it’s not a FBW for me, mostly because of the price.

Best cherry fragrance

I have a friend who says this smells like cherry cough syrup on her, and I have no idea how that is possible. I think it smells like the most divinely realistic cherry perfume that there could ever be. Pure cherry and perhaps a bit of musk in the base. The cherry is the perfect blend of sweet and tart. It's a delicious fragrance. If not for the price tag, I likely would own it by now.
