The World Is Yours

I bought it the other day without a second's hesitation, simply as a blind buy. Tobacco & vanilla, straightforward throughout - what could possibly go wrong? I put it on for the first time today at 12 degrees outside + sunshine and I can say with a clear conscience that it is (at least) really as great as it is said to be. The balance is very perfect in my opinion.

Speaking of rumors, I would like to take this opportunity to address a few aspects that keep popping up about TF Tobacco Vanilla:

1. "The Christmas scent" - I hardly felt it in the same way. It doesn't smell like gingerbread to me, nor like cinnamon, Christmas stollen, roasted almonds, Christmas market etc.. Just tobacco & vanilla, that's it.

2. "Winter fragrance" - I can't really subscribe to this either. It's heavy on the one hand, but really smooth and pleasant on the other. Zero pungent, zero synthetic, I see no reason why it should only be used in winter.

3. "It's not versatile enough for me, I wouldn't know when to wear it" - Well, just wear it for a few days in general. Then you'll quickly realize that it's often very suitable. Because once again, it's not a complex, complicated fragrance that will bother you or those around you. It is simple and straightforward. It therefore makes sense to handle the fragrance accordingly & not to make atomic physics out of it.

4. "It reminds me of Tony Montana" - Ooooooooohhhhhhhjaaaa!
This association fits like a glove. Miami in the 80s, imagine Tony and Manny (both in Hawaiian shirts) on a sunny afternoon, sitting in a yellow Cadillac convertible. Tony calls out to him with a Cuban cigar in the corner of his mouth "Manny, give me some more of that stuff!" - Manny reaches into the glove compartment and pulls out a packet of Yayo. Tony shouts hot-headedly at him "Not that stuff! Well, the stuff from the brown/gold bottle, you know, Tom Ford!".
