Zino's little brother

I've done it again.
A blind purchase, but one that I haven't regretted so far.
As an old fan of Zino Eau de Toilette, I became aware of this wonderful fragrance by Tom Ford, and because I really like lavender, I went for it.
A certain similarity to Zino cannot be denied, although the Beau de Jour is much more modern, a little sweeter and less edgy.

As soon as you spray it on, you get a full load of lavender around your nose, which is rather warm and soft and less herbaceous than, for example, Pour Un Homme de Caron (1934) Eau de Toilette.
As soon as the fragrance has settled a little, the lavender fades into the background and I get something like a sweet herbal candy.
Riiiicolaaaaa!!!
This is joined by slightly earthy, dirty tones that I attribute to the patchouli.
After a few hours, the earthiness fades more and more and what remains is a wonderful amber note that lingers on the skin for a long time.

In general, I would describe the longevity of this perfume as really good, i.e. 10 hours on the skin is definitely possible. Even much longer on clothing. The projection is also decent, although it won't fill a concert hall. But who wants that?

If, like me, you are disappointed with the durability and sillage of the current batches of Zino Eau de Toilette, you should make a note of this Tom Ford.

The bottle is really beautiful and of high quality, the sprayer does a good job, whereby the path is rather short.
In terms of price, I think this fragrance is also perfectly fine because the performance and quality are really convincing.
The packaging is not as elaborate as that of the Private Collection, but I usually throw the boxes away quickly anyway.

All in all, a great fragrance and a good alternative to Zino.

Many thanks for reading.
