"Hmm... Leathery How the hell can they make a perfume that smells like leather? And why would you want to smell like that?"
This was my first impression of Ombré Leather '18, before I started my fondness for fragrances.
On the same day, a very pleasant, warm and sweet smell constantly came into my nose. Since I had sprayed "This is Him" from Z&V on my left arm, I assumed that he was the culprit. Mistake: Ombré Leather had gone from a strong leather scent to one of the best sweet scents I had ever perceived!
So the leather note is very strong in the beginning and covers almost all other notes. After about 5-10 minutes, however, this subsides and the amber starts to mix in a lot.
The first 2 hours it smells on my skin as if some kind of fruity-sweet drink had leaked on a leather seat - in the best possible sense! Then the leather note slowly fades away and floral notes and the amber takes over. At the end (from about 4h) remains a very sweet amber scent, mMn somehow similar to the amber in Dior Sauvage EdT.
In my opinion, it is suitable for all genders, as the fragrance does not appeal to any particular gender particularly strongly. It simply smells pleasant for most of the course.
The durability is phenomenal - loose 12h on my skin, whereby the sillage (thank god) is weakened to an arm's length after about 2h.
