My Land Trussardi 2012 Eau de Toilette

It was a warm sunset in Spain. In Germany, I had forgotten my perfume and urgently needed a scent for the evening, as I’m not one for being scentless. I was lucky because as I walked down the street, I noticed a small shop that sold the typical designer fragrances. Rushing through, I spotted a leathery bottle. I looked at the name: "Trussardi My Land". Please pronounce it with a rolling "R", it sounds cooler. "Pfffft", and I smelled it on my wrist. Fresh, leathery, elegant. Exactly what I needed. With a grin, I went to the register and handed over a 50-euro note. Quickly back to the apartment to get ready. Shirt, tighter jeans, and black shoes. "The night can begin," I thought as I looked at the bottle. Three sprays, oh wait, it was six. I didn’t want to keep the lady waiting, so I took the stairs down to the ground floor. With a cigarette in my mouth, I left the apartment and set off on a 20-minute march. "Boom," it went off inside me. The perfume unfolded. A warm evening after sunset, underscored by the leathery, divine freshness of the scent. It was bitter but not too much. Fresh, but not too "oceanic". Leathery, but not too musty. Perfect! The right scent for a summer evening that isn’t disgustingly "modern". No bubble gum, no vanilla, and no "sauvage" note. Dinner with the lady was perfect. She smelled it as we walked along the beach, and the darkness of the water and sky enveloped us. It’s not a perfume with any special development. It stays true to itself and doesn’t become dull. It remains fresh; however, there is one problem. The longevity isn’t really good. On me, it lasts about 4 to 5 hours. In the first hour, the sillage is strong, but after that, it becomes more intimate. I don’t understand the criticism. You don’t always need 10,000,000 notes and 20 transformations to smell good. It can also be simple and good, and that’s exactly what it is.
Trussardi-My Land (rolling R sounds cooler) is one of my favorites and outshines many highly praised fragrances. Masculine freshness with a pleasant leather note and fresh, unripe mandarins.
Sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.
