Trussardi's new land: 10 blockbusters in ONE bottle

The commercial blurp: "Vibrant Italian elegance, refined and unique virility, intense and timeless sensuality". Will you be surprised if I tell you that nothing of the kind is the case? This average scent smells like so many other blockbusters we've all smelled before, it's a bit of everything, mimicking aspects of "Eternity for men" (topnotes), "Azzaro pour homme" (attempted fougere-aspect with a hint of lavender) and "Fan by Fendi" in the base... the problem being that all of these fragrances smell better. "My Land" is a hackneyed version of mainstream-fragrances in poor dilution. Staying power is low (2 hs max) and the overall effect is neither "intense" nor "unique", it's simply dull. You know, "My Land" doesn't smell bad at all, but it is devoid of any creativity (and I don't even like the bottle). One could of course argue that this boring fragrance is better than nothing...and one could also say that it doesn't repulse, disgust or cause any harm. But I'd rather save my money and get a bottle of some decent stuff, and why not some vintage Trussardi Uomo?

Split (the movie) version fragrances

tested thanks to a. a free sample, I didn't know the existence of this perfume.

in the opening spicy freshness which reminds me of a mix between pi from Givenchy and hypnose pour homme from Lancome, then after 30 minutes an additional freshness reminding me a little of aqva marine from Bvlgari.

after 1 hour it becomes sweet and reminds me a little of one milion. finally after 2 hours it looks like a dupe of play for men by Givenchy.

an astonishing and unstable fragrance which evolves enormously to be favored for mid-season.

having all the perfumes mentioned I don't see the point for me in getting it.

Like a fresh cucumber

This fragrance literally smells like cucumber, unlike bergamot. This fragrance is more suitable for young men under the age of 40.The permanence stays on the fabric for up to 8 hours. It starts to disappear after 3 hours on the skin. The sillage value starts to decrease after 2 hours. Indoors, the scent can be felt until the end of the day.

Absolutely recommendable!

To be honest, I am somewhat shocked at how poorly this wonderful fragrance has been rated!

I cannot confirm this in any way; on the contrary, for me, My Land is the discovery of the last year and has become a beloved perfume in my collection.
The scent composition is very elegant and seductively masculine. After I sprayed the fragrance on my skin for the first time, the clever interplay of the zesty mandarin and the soft lavender immediately developed, which, in my opinion, presents itself in perfect balance. Generally, I like lavender, which often gets completely lost or is overdosed in many other perfumes (Hypnose).
Subtly, even after the first few minutes of the scent unfolding, a leathery-woody base note can be detected, hinting at the direction the journey is taking.
The full development happens relatively quickly and remains relatively one-dimensional for the next 6 hours, but always at a high and stylish level.
The leather becomes a bit more dominant, but is intelligently tempered by the tonka bean to avoid becoming too sharp. Here, too, thoughtful work has been done!
The sillage is good! You are clearly noticed everywhere, and compliments do not take long to come :-)

Conclusion: For me, My Land is a true gem and an enrichment in the world of perfumes!
Absolutely recommendable!

I would eat this fragrance!!!

It was a warm sunset in Spain. In Germany, I had forgotten my perfume and urgently needed a scent for the evening, as I’m not one for being scentless. I was lucky because as I walked down the street, I noticed a small shop that sold the typical designer fragrances. Rushing through, I spotted a leathery bottle. I looked at the name: "Trussardi My Land". Please pronounce it with a rolling "R", it sounds cooler. "Pfffft", and I smelled it on my wrist. Fresh, leathery, elegant. Exactly what I needed. With a grin, I went to the register and handed over a 50-euro note. Quickly back to the apartment to get ready. Shirt, tighter jeans, and black shoes. "The night can begin," I thought as I looked at the bottle. Three sprays, oh wait, it was six. I didn’t want to keep the lady waiting, so I took the stairs down to the ground floor. With a cigarette in my mouth, I left the apartment and set off on a 20-minute march. "Boom," it went off inside me. The perfume unfolded. A warm evening after sunset, underscored by the leathery, divine freshness of the scent. It was bitter but not too much. Fresh, but not too "oceanic". Leathery, but not too musty. Perfect! The right scent for a summer evening that isn’t disgustingly "modern". No bubble gum, no vanilla, and no "sauvage" note. Dinner with the lady was perfect. She smelled it as we walked along the beach, and the darkness of the water and sky enveloped us. It’s not a perfume with any special development. It stays true to itself and doesn’t become dull. It remains fresh; however, there is one problem. The longevity isn’t really good. On me, it lasts about 4 to 5 hours. In the first hour, the sillage is strong, but after that, it becomes more intimate. I don’t understand the criticism. You don’t always need 10,000,000 notes and 20 transformations to smell good. It can also be simple and good, and that’s exactly what it is.
Trussardi-My Land (rolling R sounds cooler) is one of my favorites and outshines many highly praised fragrances. Masculine freshness with a pleasant leather note and fresh, unripe mandarins.
Sometimes, that’s exactly what you need.
