Mini Pink Ulric de Varens

At the moment, fragrances are a bit of a mixed bag. The selection in drugstores is limited and testing often isn’t possible. However, since I’m always on the lookout for new scents, I don’t hesitate to check out the discounted items. I choose based on my nose and not the price.

This week, at nose level in a well-known discount store, I found a display of UdV fragrances, which are usually only available at DM and Rossmann and the like. By the way, at a bargain price. So all four fragrances had to go into the cart and were happily taken to the checkout between salad and lemons.

So far, I haven’t really gotten along with UdV fragrances. But the company has improved and can compete with expensive scents. This has been the case for about a year now.

Without testing and without reservations, I sprayed Mini Pink at home. I took a trip down memory lane to my youth, which was in the 70s. The beginning is floral with something fresh in it, but at the same time a hint of vanilla. That was Heliotrope. Then I smelled almost everything that shouldn’t be there, like patchouli and cedar, but rounded off by sandalwood for the finish. Together, it’s something like incense sticks and the slightly masculine scent blend typical of the 70s. Powdery but not sweet like candy, that’s the rest. Pure Flower Power.

For me, it’s memories, and I categorize the scent as a lighter, yet somewhat robust oriental. I like it, and I will wear it.

Longevity is extremely long, over six hours, and it can still be smelled on the skin for a long time afterward.

The bottle is nothing special, but practical for a handbag. For the price of 3.30 euros, I got more than just a good fragrance.

However, anyone who decides to wear this should have confidence, as it stands out from the crowd. It is by no means discreet, but also not too loud. I would advise against it for teenagers.
