Varensia Ulric de Varens 1994

I am a big lover of "vintage" fragrances! And I have quite a few of them. "Rochas", "Guerlain", and "Caron" are part of my collection. Now also a "Varens" from 1994. Which is immediately associated with "Carons". First, for quality reasons, second, for the scent style, and third, for the bottle design.
Here, I am mainly focused on the scent itself, which fulfills all criteria of good taste for me. A soft charmer in the "old style"!
From the very beginning, bright "colors" greet you. Just like the first warm rays of sunshine in spring. The scent of "jonquils," also known as fragrant daffodils, is distinctly noticeable. Combined with orange blossom and mandarin. Yet, the fragrance also radiates a certain coolness. Not aloof or "proud," rather the coolness of an early morning, where the last traces of night frost are "licked" away by the rising sun. Friendly, well-meaning, gentle. And yet quite opulent, without being overwhelming. A good hint of spice and several woods give the beautiful fragrance that final touch. In between, a fine hint of powdery iris and a bit of jasmine. Everything is well-measured and not too sweet. In its entire appearance, a wonderful and rich scent that could be an "old Caron".... And also slightly "festive" ... EASTER!? ;-))
