A Little Time Travel
Hooked by Gahas' comment on another Unic fragrance, I quickly popped into Rossmann yesterday, grabbed all four scents from the shelf, paid, and hurried on. With the incredibly low price of €2.99 for 20 ml, I didn't think much about it and didn't even test it in the store - if worse comes to worst, it can just end up in the bathroom as a room scent.
Musc Blanc / White Musk strikes me as a very straightforward, fresh musk scent with mediocre longevity and sillage, so nothing that would prompt me to comment... had the first test not immediately transported me to my grandparents' living room.
Sunday afternoon visit to my grandparents. While we are already greeting my grandma in the living room, we first hear the bedroom door, then the bathroom door. My grandpa is taming his hair, which is sticking up from his nap, with a bit of water and using - yes, what exactly?
I'm sure he hasn't shaved at this time.
Maybe his deodorant?
A bit of Eau de Cologne to freshen up?
Was it a hair tonic?
As soon as he enters the living room and I hug him to greet him, he smells just like he always does when we come over in the afternoon: clean, slightly soapy, cozy, and simply like my grandpa.
