Total underestimated
I have often noticed this inconspicuous bottle in perfumeries and perfume departments in department stores, even in pharmacies, but with the name Eau Tonic or Eau Energisante I could imagine a kind of facial tonic. Accordingly, Basic Homme on the surface was not a real option that I wanted to consider.
At the flea market I bought a cheap miniature, which not only opened my nose, but also my eyes. So a pleasing warm and spicy citrus scent revealed itself to me, starting with some bergamot, possibly some neroli. In the later course I mean in addition the one or other shot Muskatellersalbei, sandalwood, musk, and if necessary a few drops Patchouli as well as oak moss with which the smell ends to notice. Not original, but far better than I had always imagined it and stupidly ignored it.
As an approximate comparison, the first suspicion would be Cacharel pour L`Homme. It makes you realize what a sensual flywheel mass Basic Homme carries with it, which was probably classified as a disdainful care product by the vast majority of people I included.
So you can be mistaken and it becomes clear why Basic Homme gets few but high ratings here, which I can only agree with. Unfortunately, this realization comes too late, because it seems that this Eau Tonic from Vichy has been taken off the market.
