A Tree of a Fragrance
No matter how often Victorinoux has disappointed me, I was always warned not to write off Forest, as it is by far the best perfume of the brand. And since I trust the Parfumos, I gave the Swiss forest a real chance today.
Swiss Army Forest starts strong, bitter & citrus-woody. A woody-earthy scent, actually exactly what one hopes for with the name & presentation. A mix of Encre Noir & Cacharell Pour L'Homme. Despite the always noticeable citrus, soapy & even fruity notes (juniper berries), the scent is clearly shady, thoroughly green & very masculine. Rarely have I stood in a clearer forest in my mind's eye. At times, it reminded me of a much greener Cool Water. Truly a quirky blend & a masculine forest diva. I seem to sniff a lot of moss, woods, even rooty vetiver. However, I don't particularly like some of the fragrance notes (soapy musk, piercing sage), which means the scent doesn't quite resonate with me. Nevertheless, it is truly the most impressive Victorinoux so far!
Bottle: very fitting to the theme & stylish as well.
Sillage: strong at the beginning, then a solid companion.
Longevity: lasts easily for 6 hours.
Conclusion: not one hundred percent my taste, but at least quirky, special & of impeccable quality! Anyone who likes woody-mossy scents should not miss Swiss Army Forest!

Exciting! Let's see if this could be a substitute for the "Cipresso di Toscana" (Acqua di Parma) that I miss so much... Cheers!

I prefer Deep Forest, Wonderwood, or Encre Noir much more.

Since you say it doesn't quite suit your taste, do you know a better forest scent?
