Baby-Wood
It only took three days for an OF of this fragrance to arrive after the intriguing comment from my esteemed colleague Smello...
First of all - thank you for the suggestion, Smello! Here, a really beautiful scent is offered for a small price. The dominant hay that tickled Smello's nose, I only smell here in the base note. And when I do, it's something like "woody hay" or "hay-like wood."
"125 Years" reminds me more or less of one of my personal favorite fragrances, namely "He Wood Ocean Wet Wood" (hereafter "HWOWW"). HWOWW had, for me, the brightest wood note I had ever encountered. "125 Years" takes this note even further down, "Baby-Wood," so a very young HWOWW that still needs to grow up and timidly peeks out from its nest under its fluff.
While its "big brother" from DSquared smells more natural and valuable, "125 Years" still impresses me across the board given the price. Yes, Mr. Davidoff, Mr. Gucci, and also Mr. Douglas, it really is possible. Beautiful scents don’t have to be expensive.
Longevity, sillage, bottle design, and availability are all clearly in the green zone. By the way, it could also appeal to women who like it subtle and a little powdery.

Oh, don't tell me you haven't laid in a hayloft like I did, rolling back and forth, surrounded by nothing but hay. Kudos to you for daring to order it blindly out of adventurous spirit!
