I was a bit disappointed
I was tempted to buy this fragrance by the many very good reviews, both here on Parfumo and from all the well-known perfume YouTubers. It has to be said that I therefore bought it blind.
When the fragrance arrived and I sprayed the first puffs on my arm, I was overwhelmed at first. You can smell lots of spices (I particularly notice the pepper, cinnamon and saffron) embedded in a vanilla note. You'd think you were standing in a spice store at the Christmas market. I can barely smell the cumin, which is a little more difficult for many people. The grapefruit is also barely noticeable. To sum up, the opening is very successful for what the fragrance is supposed to represent.
After 15-30 minutes, the fragrance calms down a little, the spices weaken and it becomes creamier and the tobacco note becomes more and more apparent. And it is precisely at this point that I no longer find the fragrance so successful. Maybe it's just me, but I only perceive the mixture of vanilla, tobacco and amber as mush. The fragrance no longer has any rough edges, it becomes blurred.
In terms of longevity, I can say that the fragrance lasts a very long time on my skin. I spray it on in the evening and I can still smell it the next morning. The projection, especially at the beginning, is also very strong.
To summarize: If you like the drydown, then this is a really good fragrance, especially for the price you pay. However, I wouldn't buy it again.
