Abîme Violet 2022

It’s a beautiful, super smooth white sandalwood cedar. I don’t really get any of the pepper in the opening though it is drier and less sweet through most of the first few hours of the fragrance on my skin. The creamy sweetness of the sandalwood doesn’t come out until the late dry down on my skin, still accompanied by a bit of lemony acerbity (elemi, or so the ad copy claims). It wears pretty close to the skin. I really wish the creamy sandalwood came out earlier.

Sprayed on from the tester bottle at Ministry of Scent in SF on a 75F day. Worn about 10hrs at time of writing.
