Meaningless Fruity Floral

At the beginning of March 2012, I read a laudatory article about Vivian Westwood in the "Independent." Her fashion collection is said to be very convincing. For the final show, she chose a dress printed with banknotes to criticize the banking system (Vivian Westwood goes Occupy?). Why am I telling you this? To express my disappointment with the fragrance "Cheeky Alice," which becomes even greater against the backdrop just outlined. "Cheeky Alice" is an olfactory lightweight, a completely meaningless scent that does not fit a designer of her stature. Who advises V.W. on these matters? Or has she simply sold her name and lost control over the perfumes? I am puzzled by the discrepancy between Westwood's fashion, her political statements, and these girlishly harmless scents.

You can definitely wonder about many celebrity and designer fragrances. I doubt Westwood wears this stuff, if she’s even smelled it before?
