Under Tropical Sun
The scents from Voluspa often come across as artificial to me. Vanilla Creme Fleur is no exception.
But... despite the certain artificiality, I must defend it here.
This fragrance actually feels quite gourmand, yet it isn't really. Shortly after the first spray, very beautiful floral notes develop, so that the vanilla, which is clearly present, is softened. It is therefore not a pure vanilla scent.
Although it is also quite sweet, a fine and pleasant smoky note contributes to preventing it from becoming disgustingly sweet and sticky.
In fact, Vanilla Creme Fleur is exactly what its name suggests. Additionally, it is a heavy, very long-lasting scent with an enchanting aura.
The whole fragrance feels thick and creamy and reminds me of historical romance novels (which I used to enjoy reading *gg*).
Beautiful ladies in heavy crinolines, with elaborate hairstyles, waiting under tropical sun and exotic trees for their pirate captain.
Despite the opulence of the scent, it feels playful, not to be taken too seriously, and yet it is beautiful.
It seems to me that Vanilla Creme Fleur invites a bit of daydreaming, and I feel transported to times I have never experienced.
