Finally.
Months, days - full of hope.
Full of despair.
Full of pleas.
Drought-stricken land.
Dead grass.
Withered flowers.
Scorching heat and deadly drought.

It’s over.
RAIN!!
FINALLY!!
Heavy and wet, it falls from the sky. I am so infinitely grateful.
I stand in the garden and rejoice like a little child.
Rain, mud, lightning, noise - finally everything together.
How long have we waited for this!!!
I stand there in soaking wet clothes and put out everything that can catch water.
My old baby tubs, bowls, vases, dishes, containers. I catch the precious moisture!
My rain barrel groans, it’s full. The next one must come!

Water is soooo precious!! Water is life!

Amidst this ecstatic joy, a scent surrounds me, accompanying me.
The wobbly water opens with delicate mandarin, orange, and light traces of ginger.
Aquatic notes, mixed with blossoms and lemon balm, moisten a rose blossom that is bursting with raindrops.
Wonderful!
Heavy drops of the saving moisture fall on my skin, mixing with all the fragrance components and creating a miracle water that has it all.
I wobble with joy in my miracle bubble.
