Pausing in Beautiful Silence

Wrapped in bright silk on a cool night, only the tea quietly steams. Silently. With a thoughtful smile. Life is calm. And beautiful.

Zesty citrus sprinkles are silently caught by green-bitter mate. Myrrh and incense provide a mystical-elegant counterbalance to the slightly gourmand character. Iris adds a powdery touch, thanks to myrrh and a hint of cocoa, but soon gives way to endless creaminess. (Black) tea is undoubtedly the note that runs through the entire fragrance journey. Rum and guaiac lend a subtle sweetness. A clear progression from zesty to powdery to minimally creamy. Elegant. Quiet and always enveloped in gentle-sweet balm-like qualities.

With a subtle sillage, I perceive it for about 6 hours. This fragrance does not shout. It whispers. But what it says is beautiful. Sillage enthusiasts should keep their distance, but for me, this scent is so special that it tops my wish list. I suspected from the notes that I would like it. (Although I have never drunk Keemun.) But my goodness, it has captivated me. It feels like the emancipated love child between Remember Me (without frangipani) and a softer version of Gris Charnel Eau de Parfum.

Elegant. Pausing. The fragrance shows how beautiful silence can be.
