If I had known that the drydown is an Arabic BR540, I wouldn't have sprayed it on in the perfumery without knowing. Heavy scent.

Special :D I'm so anti-BR540 that I dismiss any scent at the slightest hint of similarity. This just happened yesterday with Kilian Can't Stop Loving You and recently with my husband’s Torino22. Why does BR540 creep into everything? I've unintentionally worn BR540 so many times just because the dupes smell like it, and my jacket still smells like it days later.

That's the problem when a fragrance becomes so established. It speaks to the quality of the scent. The nose picks up on the notes, and if I don't like them and they probably sneak in during the drydown, then I won't like the fragrance, no matter what it's called. I found that disappointing with Torino22 and Baniyas as well, because they are truly complex and good fragrances.

Torino 22 has saffron in it. That doesn’t automatically make it a BR540…

I'm really surprised that I can't smell any BR540 here. I actually have an extremely fine BR540 detector in my nose that picks up that nasty DNA everywhere-even where other people might not notice it 😂

...I also perceive the H/S as rather soft - whereas the original BR540 hits me like a brutal club.
