For Scheherazade
The sun has just risen, shyly peeking over a distant dune.
The room opens onto the desert — white marble, golden drapes, and in the back, a bathroom filled with thick, soft linens.
In the bed, a woman awakens gently, lifting herself only to wrap her shoulders in the sheet.
It’s still cool, and she hesitates between the comfort of linen and the warmth of sunlight.
She finally rises, walks a few steps, and waters the countless white flowers covering the sand.
Soon, the heat will awaken their scent and carry it through the air.
That’s the image that comes to my mind every time I wear Baniyas by Widian —
a scent of white flowers, lavender, and clean softness, blooming under the desert sun while giving its wearer a radiant sense of freshness.
