Yasat Widian 2024 Extrait de Parfum

Recently, I spent two wonderful days with one of my best friends in Constance. Since we had to change our day plan at the last minute, we spontaneously decided to take a stroll through the city. It was going to be my first time in a niche perfume store. Living in a rural area, my collection consists almost entirely of blind buys, and it was something truly special to experience and test these fragrances up close.

The first impression overwhelmed me, and I needed a brief moment to collect myself.

After testing several fragrances, we found ourselves at Widian. The "Yasat | Widian / AJ Arabia" had been on my wish list for quite some time, but I wanted to test it before purchasing, due to its similarity to "Gris Charnel (Eau de Parfum) | bdk Parfums." I didn't expect too much because, as a devoted fan of "Gris Charnel (Eau de Parfum) | bdk Parfums," I knew what to expect. So, the "Yasat | Widian / AJ Arabia" landed immediately on my wrist:

Oh my God, I never thought a fragrance with a DNA I already knew could impress me so much. The first thing that hit me was the spiciness of cardamom, soon enveloped by sweet caramel and vanilla. Sandalwood and cedar balance the sweetness perfectly, making the scent warm and sensual without being overpowering.

After finally testing this wonderful fragrance and, of course, falling head over heels in love with it, I sought advice from my friend, as I was a bit uncertain about the purchase. Normally, I don't just walk into a perfume store and take what I want. My purchases were usually made only in S00k or online, so being in a store for the first time was something very special.
In the end, she convinced me, and I bought it.

On the way back, I kept smelling my wrist with excitement and was more than happy that I had bought the fragrance right there. In retrospect, I would have been incredibly annoyed with myself if I had decided against Yasat. I have not regretted my purchase for a second.

Conclusion: A certain similarity to GC cannot be denied; however, the "Yasat | Widian / AJ Arabia" comes across as significantly sweeter due to caramel and vanilla, and the spiciness is somewhat more subdued here. The "Yasat | Widian / AJ Arabia" is, for me, an absolute feel-good fragrance, like a hug on a cold autumn day, like the warmth of a fireplace filling the room, like a sensual touch on the skin. For me, it is the perfect companion for any occasion.
Longevity and sillage are above average; I could still perceive the scent very well even after 8 hours.
For me, Yasat does not go through a particularly spectacular scent evolution; rather, it feels like a perfectly composed symphony that can land a number one hit with just a few instruments.

Yasat is the best souvenir I have ever brought home from a vacation, a fragrance that I will forever associate with memories of Lake Constance, a scent that will always bring a smile to my face and has captured my heart in a whirlwind.
