Alex, the Oily
I have been searching for hours for a description worthy of this scent ... I find myself unable to provide a detailed explanation, but I will try my luck at getting as close as possible to what I can perceive.
I have had the EdP with me for months and I truly love it; it has a complexity, radiates luxury, and has such a present, noble note that is unmatched.
Anyone who then tests the Attar will be surprised at the difference that has been built up.
I can spontaneously think of an example from the automotive industry that illustrates the relationship between the Attar and the EdP quite well. For me, the EdP reflects a Mercedes S63 AMG: explosive, muscular, vehement, present, and full of energy. In comparison, the Attar is a Maybach S560 long version, rounder, more complete, mature, calmer, and more luxurious.
The Attar is for me the even nobler and more luxurious, yet simultaneously calmer, more understated version of Alexandria II. It radiates something perfect in my eyes from the fragrance notes; I like it about 20% better. The sillage is very close to the skin, so it cannot be compared to the room-filling power of the perfume. The longevity is truly outstanding due to the oil.
Conclusion: If you enjoy Alexandria II as an EdP, you will also love the Attar, as long as the more relaxed / calmer sillage does not bother you.
