Alexandria II Xerjoff 2017 Pure Attar

Hello everyone,

today I would like to talk about a fragrance / an altar that truly puts its fragrance peers in the shade - (the "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff" - and it's about the "Alexandria II (Pure Attar) | XerJoff".

For many years, the "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff" was my signature scent from September to March, from 2017 to 2022, and I recently tested the "Alexandria II (Pure Attar) | XerJoff" and can say...

- YES it resembles the older batches very much
- its longevity is insane (24h+)
- it is very economical and thus also cheaper than the "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff"
- it feels more noble and high-quality
- it is less sweet in the drydown than the current "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff"

One of the first things that struck me is this aura, this magical veil, this protective and warming hand (great feeling). I have the exact same feeling with the "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff" and apart from the "Oud Stars - Alexandria Imperiale | XerJoff", I know all of them (including the "Oud Stars - Alexandria | XerJoff").

I must honestly admit that this test convinced me so much that I will be getting the "Alexandria II (Pure Attar) | XerJoff" again.

Why did I give up the "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff"?

It was 100% not bad in performance. The year 21/22 came when I no longer liked it. It became too sweet for me in the drydown, the vanilla twist was too strong (soon gourmandish) and it no longer had those edges and facets that I loved so much back then. Over the years, it became more palatable and mass-appealing. That's why I switched to the "Oud Stars - Alexandria Orientale | XerJoff" a while ago (2022), which had those edges and facets, but somehow it lacked the magical and sublime quality that, for example, the "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff" has, which is why I sold that one too.

If I really wasn't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
