Crown Jewel
Please don't throw stones, it's my 1st comment:
While browsing for new fragrances, I stumbled upon Xerjoff - Purple Accento, and it immediately captivated me. This graceful, beautifully sparkling, lilac velvet bottle caught my eye right away. A decision was quickly made: I had to have it. However, the price, for which one feels like they have to sell their soul, initially deterred me. Because of that, a blind buy was out of the question, I’m not suicidal.
One day, I received a package from a dear swap buddy, which included a sample of the purple soul-seller. I had an incredibly high expectation, and so I opened the package with trembling hands. Even while cutting open the box, this beautiful scent shot into my nose. Wow - What a beast. I was in love. Now it was official, the Purple Accento had to become part of my collection, no matter the cost.
Some time later, the beauty arrived, and I could admire the bottle for the first time in person. For me, it’s one of the most beautiful bottles I have ever seen. I generally like the design of Xerjoff, but with Purple Accento, they have outdone themselves.
Now to the scent itself: of course, one cannot deny a similarity to Erba Pura - but I personally see no parallels to the regular Accento. Upon spraying, you are immediately enveloped in a thick veil that threatens to overwhelm you, but in a positive way. The oud is rather subdued for me, which I don’t find to be a bad thing. In the drydown, a caressing cloud of woods, vanilla, and musk develops. I myself still perceived the scent on my skin 24 hours later, despite 9 hours of work and a trip to the shower. Longevity and sillage leave nothing to be desired for me. It’s a beast and fills rooms. My colleague (I work in retail) smelled the fragrance throughout the entire store (by the way, the store is about 800m²).
Conclusion: For me, the Purple Accento is my holy grail, a jack-of-all-trades, a scent that can be worn on any occasion, perfect for anyone who likes to stand out.
I wouldn’t want to give it up for any amount of money. In my eyes, it’s worth every cent.

I completely agree with your review 1:1 - only that it was a blind buy for me... but I'm glad you like it so much too!

If it's such a room-filling beast, you can only hope that others like it too ;-) Great first review, for sure.

I haven't heard anything contrary so far :) but tastes are known to differ, which is a good thing. Thank you! :)
