It should take time. It had to be this way!
I received Al Khatt as a small sample on request because I didn't like Alexandria 2 at all, even though it is highly recommended, shared, etc. here. I wanted to get to know other Xerjoffs. Naxos - not my thing at all. Uden, boring. XXY: well! Richwood - what the? I remained persistent. Al Khatt arrived, and I tried it. What is wrong with me? It can't be that I don't like any Xerjoff - was my thought. But whatever, I continued testing - but something appealed to me about Al Khatt.
The initial similarity to Alien faded on the second try; now it was good for me and didn’t seem so feminine.
The start is quite strange. Definitely not cow stable smell. More like the bad breath of my old colleague - I thought - very similar. Luckily, it was only brief. After that, I perceive a warm, cozy honey note.
This honey scent lasted a long time for me.
Third test day: same course, old colleague, warm honey, but then I perceive something else. Something spicy; I stick to my arm and want to name the scent - which is somewhat familiar. I give up for a moment, but it comes back to me. I see the bottle of MFK Masculin Pluriel in front of me. I check if it is listed on Parfumo under Similar - I am confused. After 1 hour of smelling Al Khatt, I smell MFK MP! However, Al Khatt is calmer, a bit softer - more wearable for me. MFK had to go because it was too strong. I really liked the DNA of the scent itself, but the sillage was too intense, overall too spicy. It took three years for Al Khatt to take its place; it apparently had to be this way.
