The most realistic lemon I’ve tried with fresh mint and bitter, orangey petitgrain. Powdery florals on a slightly metallic, woody base.

Honestly kind of wild how well made this remains for being 14 years old. I've kind of had this perception that photorealistic and longer lasting citrus notes were a relatively recent development, but - here was Rene. SUPER challenging in the drydown, right?

@TheDunkPapa it holds up very well for sure, boosting the citrus longevity with petitgrain and musks is a pretty old concept, albeit rarely executed this well.
I wish I got to smell this before lilial ban, would’ve been even more floral and watery, shame.
Also, the drydown is a masculine nothingburger to me - bitter remnants of petitgrain create a metallic nuance, with some attempts at complexity coming from musk and florals, adding a musty, almost creamy feel.

Sounds quite pleasant. Petitgrain + mint combo might seal the deal for me

@DAVID043329 def the best freshie from Xerjoff I’ve tried.
It has a gentlemanly vibe to it, but it’s still modern and tame.
Mint doesn’t last, petitgrain sure does with its bitter and green tobaccoey facets.
