Champagne Demi-Sec

The opening notes reminded me of Yatagan.
After 30 minutes, it changed, and a slight sweet side was felt.
It was very good, but not long-lasting, after 3 hours was almost gone.
At night I changed to Yatagan, so I could compare.
They are different.
Yatagan is champagne brut.
Sombre Negra is demi-sec.

After my first time wearing it.

It's so dark and smoky, perhaps one of the darkest scents I have come across until now. Somehow it reminds me of burning fire, but also something I used to smell as a child when I visited my dad's workplace. He was in the army, where he worked with tanks and other armored vehicles. That is the mental image this perfume paints me.

One of my first experiences with niche perfumes. Honestly, I was a bit afraid to try this one but somehow I just had to smell this. Is it dark? Most definitely yes! Can I take out any single note? No. Is it a versatile fragrance? No. But man, this is beautiful! I keep smelling my hand and strangely wonderful memories from my childhood keep emerging. As dark as this is, it is soothing. Who would've thought that?

Torture chamber

Basement. Torture chamber. The door is opening. A man enters the chamber silently. This man will not be tortured, he will be the one who tortures someone else. His fragrance is Sombre Negra.

SOMBRE NEGRA contains huge amount of inclement black pepper. It is smoky on a very delicate way. I can not stand smoky scents, but Sombre Negra is another story. Besides smoke, it evokes a picture of clarity and it is chill, like a cellar. I could not imagine a women wearing Sombre Negra (hm, I am just wearing it, and do not think, that I am willing to wash it off, but it is somewhat nonsense on the skin of a girl).

Do not smile surrounded by Sombre Negra, because it would be a lie. Lie on the face or lie on the skin.

Ladies, beware

The world's first incense fougère? Someone is going to write an angry letter contradicting me on that. I don't care. Listen up, ladies, because I am writing this for you. Sombre Negra is written about as one of the standout incense fragrances of the genre. There's no issue with the incense part of the equation. The promised 'blackness' is all there - a gorgeously sooty, dusty frankincense seemingly swept out from under the censers and grates of Europe's most commanding cathedrals with the sole purpose of putting the fear of God in you and making you repent. It is dour. It is suitably sturm-und-drang. It's an acrid, ashy thing.

However, and really, women, listen up because I am slowly but inexorably getting to the point - the other half of this fragrance is your brother's shirt collar circa 1985. Remember the male aroma of shirts soaked in enough Drakkar Noir to scour the bath? Remember the posturing and the putting on of that older male 'skin' to be able to face the world in all their pimpled, trembling glory? Have you ever had to lie in the bed of a young male relative while a-visiting and known the horror of those clammy, Brut-soaked sheets that made you wish you could disassociate from your own body? Ladies, I have three brothers and four male cousins. I do not mock. I am merely reminding you.

Between encre noir and Gucci guilty absolue

I am trying this fragance now but i think this is just not my type of scent. The quality is good, i can feel a natural smell with very Well blended notes, but i really dont like. The performance is not as good as i could wait as Well. It is long lástima but the projection is weak from the begining. I think this is for those Who Live perfumes like encre noir, ormond man or su coeur di dessert by tauer. It remembrr me a bit to some Woody leathery perfumes like Gucci guilty absoluto or Tom Ford ombre leather, with this feeling like a gasoline. I feel Aldo a lot the tobacco, but a very sour and dry tobacco, not sweet at all, and i can feel a very Woody and resinous background, the mix of Resines give some vibe like incense. I ser the perfume more at the masculine side and better for cold weather during the day.

Woody, resinous, with cumin and pepper and sure the base notes are there, but I can't feel tobacco.
Elegant and not as dark as name suggest.

Woody and resinous scent wint a hint of sour and dry tobacco. More at the masculine side, on the line of encre noir but darker.

Initially very smoky and spicy, but it fades quite quickly, turning into stale smoke, vetiver comes through, that's too little for me. Had potential.

Peppered cypress with amyris, patchouli, and vetiver. The black shadow that appears rather dark green. Would be fine if it weren't for the amyris. Quite okay.
