Intoxicating Floral Splendor of the South Seas

Plein Soleil is the first fragrance from the many new scents by Yves Rocher that were released around the same time in 2019.
While I don't find all of them to be that great, this one quickly won me over.
It is said to resemble Eau de Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford, but unfortunately, I can't judge that since I don't know that particular fragrance. Maybe it's better that way sometimes.
At least you don't have overly high or false expectations.

Plein Soleil is quite a floral powerhouse, lush and floral, perhaps a bit floriental as well.
The abundant tuberose immediately takes the lead. The sweet, lush blooms of ylang-ylang are also quite present. I've appreciated the scent of ylang-ylang since the nineties.
Additionally, there's sandalwood, which adds even more warmth.
The fragrance is very floral, warm, lush, and has the woody softness of sandalwood.
It would have fit perfectly in the nineties when fragrances like Samsara or Mahora were in vogue. I still like that kind of scent.

The sillage is quite noticeable, so it's advisable to apply it sparingly. The longevity is also quite good.
The bottle is simple and cylindrical with a plain adhesive label-like the entire line. The bottles from Yves Rocher used to be more beautiful! But uniformity in bottles seems to be in fashion right now. Personally, I prefer individual bottles. I don't think it's great that only 30 or 100ml bottles are offered. A 50ml bottle as a middle option would have been wonderful.
But regardless, the fragrance Plein Soleil is certainly well done and I like it very much.

Well described. That's exactly how Plein Soleil is. I really love these lush flowers, that slightly exotic touch, and the South Sea vibe, and I'm wearing it again today.

By the way, I totally love Mahora and still do. It's also one of Mrs. Can!'s favorite scents,...and of course, mine too!

Definitely piques my curiosity. However, I would also enjoy a beautiful bottle.

A lovely lush floral scent. It reminds me of Italy.

How funny - my "Plein Soleil" is supposed to be delivered today. I'm just waiting for the doorbell to ring. After reading your comment, I'm even more excited - it seems like it turned out pretty well ;)

I don't know this one, but I do know Eau de Soleil Blanc. I find it not overly floral, more softly floral, creamy, a bit powdery, and with a citrusy touch in the beginning. It doesn't quite match my scent preferences, but it was okay.

I don't know any of the 2019 Yves Rocher fragrances yet. I should change that when the stores are allowed to reopen. I do find the trend towards uniform bottles a bit concerning, but if the scent is good, you can overlook it :-)

That could be true about the similarity to TF Soleil Blanc, just as you describe it. Soleil Blanc does have a slightly heavy feel due to the Ylang-Ylang, but never too much.
