Uh, it gives me the creeps
Today I went to my trusted perfumery for the first time in a long time, and I have to say that there is only one here in the country. A little bored, I stood in front of the only perfume shelf and was approached by a very nice young saleswoman. She asked me if I had ever tried this one and, with glowing eyes, held out C-19 to me and began to explain ISO to me. This was after she had sheepishly put Daisy back when she must have noticed the confused look on my face. C 4 tells me something, ISO E is great too, I just don't necessarily like chemicals on my skin, but who am I kidding: perfumes are chemicals for the most part. I don't want to be like that because the sales clerk smiles at me so friendly.
A sweet, slightly creamy cloud envelops me and at first I have to say that I quite like it. My nostrils widen a little and, full of hope, I dare to inhale more deeply through my nose, all under the lady's expectant eyes.
Coconut, very clear, is the next thing I notice and I get summery feelings, which is quite something when it's minus 15 degrees and snowing outside. When I'm already in a good mood, it happens. The coconut beach loses its sweetness and in my mind's eye the white sandy beach turns into a brown swamp of washed up brown algae that has been bobbing around in the sun for too long. I don't perceive this smell continuously, but it comes in gentle breezes, unfortunately but constantly. I suspect it is the ISO that is spoiling my coconut beach here. After half an hour, it's the only thing that remains, it's always like that. It promises you the blue sky and in the end you're left with that eternally annoying and same ISO note.
Because I don't want to disappoint the lady, I tell her that I want to wait until I've arrived at the base to be able to judge it properly. I decide to buy chewing bones for our dog and lo and behold, I am approached by 3 customers in the pet shop about the great perfume. I am speechless and make my way home where our dog is already happily waiting for me. It's the first time he hasn't wanted a chew bone..
